In Gelsenkirchen, Deutschland, geboren, studierte Thomas P. Proffe Industrie-Design, Photographie und Video an der Universität Wuppertal. Er arbeitete als Photograph und Video-Künstler in San Francisco, Paris und Barcelona. Seit 1991 hat er Ausstellungen in den USA, Frankreich, Spanien, Schweiz und Deutschland. Zur Zeit lebt und arbeitet er in Berlin.
